To commemorate 36-year liberation of the south of Vietnam and Labor Day (May 1st), Vihajico’s management board hosted a meeting at Ecopark with the Xuan Quan Veterans’ Association of Xuan Quan Commune.

Among the 200 veterans visiting Ecopark, there were soldiers who had taken part in the wars against the French, the US, and the liberation of the south of Vietnam in 1975, in which many had demonstrated great feats of arms. A large number of these were decorated veterans, and had received many medals from the government and the Communist Party.

The veterans have expressed a positive opinion of the project. Mr. Le Xuan Bang, president of Xuan Quan Veteran Association and former captain, said, “In the past, where we are standing was a marshland, but now it is a beautiful, large urban area. We in old generation that had fought for liberation; when we can see the development of the country like this – we become very excited and proud. We wish Ecopark project will quickly become a new and modern city, which will contribute to the local economy, further development and improve life of the local residents.”
